Research & Development

Our in-house Research & Development team is comprised of food technologists with a combined 50+ years of experience in the production and formulation of custom salsas, sauces, dips, beverages and a wide variety of other hot fill and retort products. Our team takes pride in not only fulfilling our customers’ immediate needs, but also assisting in the rollout of their long-term vision.

At LiDestri, we keep in close communication with all of our customers to maintain a clear understanding of their product development goals, confidentially. With a reputation for quality, value and unsurpassed customer service, we have been contracted to develop products for some of the largest food companies in the world, as well as for “Mom and Pop” businesses. We can assist you in the entire research and development process, from initial concept to commercialization of your product.

Our staff is trained in all aspects of food safety for low-acid and high-acid foods, including HACCP and thermal processing. Hot fill and retort pilot equipment allows for a seamless transition from bench top to full-scale manufacturing. We can develop USDA, Organic and Kosher (Orthodox Union) certified products. We also remain on the cutting edge of industry trends to service the needs, demands and desires of customers and consumers alike.

LiDestri is in the process of designing a state-of-the-art Innovation Center located in Rochester, NY, only 15 minutes from our Corporate Headquarters. Equipped with an onsite production line designed specifically for smaller run sizes, the facility is an ideal setup for customers to come and work hand-in-hand with our R&D technologists.
